Arbeloa: Ronaldo is happy at Real Madrid

In a recent interview with Spanish sports daily, AS, Arbeloa was insistent that the Portuguese international would not be leaving the club despite persistent rumours and that he is very highly regarded in the locker room and is happy, despite not scoring in La Liga play for two straight weeks.

“It is rare that he doesn’t net in a game where we score five goals, but that does not matter. He saves goals for when we need them more than we did today.

“He has made it clear many times that he is happy here and that he is at the best club in the world, which is where a player like him has to be.”

Arbeloa then touched on his own personal well being, after picking up a knock in October.

“Slowly I’m feeling better so I’m happy with how things are going.”
